As a pivotal institution in Germany's social welfare system, the Bundesagentur für Arbeit offers a wide range of services, including job placement, vocational training, and unemployment benefits administration. Its unique role lies in balancing the needs of individuals seeking employment with the demands of employers looking for skilled workers, thereby contributing to the stability and efficiency of Germany's labor market.


The Project

In collaboration with Bundesagentur für Arbeit, our Scrum Master played a pivotal role in spearheading the agile transformation across various projects and teams. Focusing on Scrum principles, our Scrum Master championed collaboration, problem-solving, and quality assurance to foster a more agile and efficient working environment. Responsibilities included introducing and ensuring adherence to Scrum rules, monitoring external influences, facilitating problem-solving sessions, moderating and coordinating multiple teams, upholding quality assurance standards, supporting Product Owners in backlog management, and conducting sprint retrospectives across various teams.


The Challenges

Navigating the agile transformation at Bundesagentur für Arbeit presented several challenges. These included managing and mitigating external influences that could disrupt Scrum teams, identifying and eliminating obstacles to maintain momentum, moderating and coordinating multiple teams with diverse tasks and priorities, ensuring deliverables met the Definition of Done and overarching quality standards, supporting Product Owners in backlog prioritization and release planning, and fostering continuous improvement through sprint retrospectives. The complexity of these challenges required a strategic and collaborative approach to overcome barriers and drive successful agile adoption.
